The Orchard Recovery and Addiction Treatment Center is located on Bowen Island - a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver, BC. We are about an hour from Vancouver International Airport depending on traffic. Airport pickup by an Orchard staff member is available. Additional charges apply. Please contact The Orchard to arrange.
| Traveller's Alert: Please be advised that a passport is now required when flying into Canada. Be sure to have your passport with you if you are flying into Vancouver International airport from outside Canada. If you are crossing the border by vehicle, a birth certificate and driver's license are required as proof of citizenship. |
Driving Directions to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal from Seattle Follow Interstate 5 north to Blaine, Washington. Follow the signs to the Pacific Border Crossing, also known as the truck crossing. Follow Highway 15, also known as 176th Street and take the Highway 1 west exit. Follow the Highway 1 westbound to Horseshoe Bay.

** Commuter ferry tickets are available at the BC Ferries ticket booth. We recommend purchasing a book of five(5) Car and Driver tickets which makes the return trip half price. Also available are books of ten(10) Passenger tickets.
VISITING HOURS Visitors are only welcome if they have been invited by a current client.
Saturdays: Family Group is from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. If you attend all day, you may then visit with your Orchard Client off site until 7pm. On Saturday's visitors may not enter residence property. Click here for the Family Program Schedule and Topics.
** The exception to this is if it is your Orchard Client's first weekend, in which we reserve the right to ask the client to stay on Orchard premises.
Sundays: Visiting hours are from 10:30 AM - 4 PM, either on or off property. We ask that you do not enter the building before 10:30. It is extremely important to have your loved one back by 4 PM for their Sunday night dinner.
VISITOR GUIDELINES AT RESIDENCE
- Please check in with staff immediately upon arrival. If you do not recognize a staff member, please ask your loved one to introduce you to one.
- Please sign in the Visitor Log Book.
- Visitors are not allowed in client's rooms at any time.
- Please respect the visiting hours.
- If leaving the site with your loved one please remember clients must sign out with a staff member.
- Please abstain from all drugs and alcohol while visiting on or off site.
- Visitors are welcome to have lunch on site, but cannot stay for dinners.
- Children are welcome.
- Pets may not be indoors.
- Please do not leave the island.
The Lodge at the Old Dorm The Lodge at the Old Dorm is a lovingly-restored heritage bed and breakfast with the ambience of a character inn. Located only a few minutes from the ferry at Snug Cove.
Union Steamship Marina Cottages Each heritage cottage has a front porch with a view of Snug Cove and the Howe Sound mountains, living room with a cheery wood stove (plus electrical heat), kitchen, two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two sets of bunk beds with a double bed in the lower berth.
Bowmart Located only a two minute walk from the ferry terminial, guest accommodations are available on nightly or weekly basis.
