Drug Treatment Programs - Primary Care

The Orchard's 42-day Primary Care drug rehab program immerses clients in a six-week cycle of addiction-themed programming that includes diagnostic assessment, a medical evaluation, peer and group therapy, life skills strategies, spiritual development, a solid foundation in the 12 Steps, relapse prevention training and six weekends of family programming.

Upon intake, each client is assigned an addictions counselor and a Step Coach. Their counselor will provide one-on-one therapy throughout their stay and their Step Coach will help them understand and work through the 12 Steps that form the base of our substance abuse treatment philosophy.

The Primary Care program is also offered in a 28-day format; however, research indicates the 42-day program results in a better chance for long-term recovery. We limit Primary Care to a maximum of 25 clients, and this helps us ensure that each individual's drug addiction treatment needs are understood and effectively addressed.

Orchard Primary Care Environment

  • Island location in the Pacific Northwest

10-day Introduction to Recovery

The Orchard's 10-day Introduction to Recovery provides clients with a glimpse of what living clean and sober looks and feels like. Over the course of 10 days, they are introduced to the 12 Steps and participate in group and individual therapy. At the end of this process, most clients see the benefits of enrolling in a full Primary Care Program.

Vitamins and Supplements

Clients are provided with a unique combination of vitamins devised by our addictionologist, Dr. Patrick Fay. The vitamins enhance the body's ability to recover during the detoxification process. In addition to vitamins and a nutritious diet, clients may also obtain a series of thiamine shots for an additional fee. These shots are beneficial for alcoholics as they help to dramatically reverse the effects of thiamine deficiency, which can result from chronic alcohol consumption.

Recovery is a process, not an event.
