A 12-week group therapy program for family and friends affected by a loved one's addiction.
| Group Format & Topics: Each session includes a combination of psycho-education and group process. Issues discussed will include themes of specific interest to participants and issues generally relevant to families in recovery. The first three weeks will be open for new participants to join after which the group will be operated as a closed group.
Date & Location: 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesdays, March 26 to June 11 at
Mollie Nye House, 940 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver.
Cost & Registration: $60.00 per session. A package of 12 Wednesday sessions is $720 per person (+GST). Additional family members half price. To register, call Wendy or Vera at The Orchard at (604) 947-0420. |
| About the Family Therapist: Harry A. O'Hayon, PG Dip. in CBT, M.Sc. (c) in CBT, R.P.C., Family Therapist. Harry O'Hayon is a Registered Professional Counsellor licensed with the Canadian Professional Association of Counsellors and a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. Harry works with individuals, couples, families and youth and draws from a wide range of therapeutic modalities in his work including: CBT; Systemic Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Integrative Psychotherapy. |  |  |
