Drug Treatment Center - Family Programming

Orchard Family Weekend Program Addiction is a disease that affects the whole family. The Orchard drug treatment center clients are encouraged to invite loved ones to our family weekend programming every Saturday at 10AM. In these sessions, loved ones will learn to understand addiction and recognize how it affects their lives, relationships and family dynamics. Family members will learn tools to begin their own healing as they prepare for life with their loved ones after they return from treatment. All sessions include an educational addiction seminar, lunch and process group sharing.

Once every six weeks our Orchard Family Programming Team hosts an extended family long weekend. The extended family long weekend invites loved ones to The Orchard on Friday as well as Saturday. These sessions focus on a more in-depth look at addiction and family dynamics. They also introduce loved ones to Al-Anon, a support group for family members affected by their loved one's addiction.

Family Aftercare Program
We encourage the families and friends of those dealing with addiction and in recovery to take part in Building Resiliency, a 12-week group therapy program presented by The Orchard. The program is led by our seasoned addictions and family counselors and takes place Wednesday evenings in our West Vancouver office.

Each Building Resiliency session includes a combination of psycho-education and group process. Topics covered include many that are generally relevant to families in recovery, plus themes of specific interest to the participants.

Cost and Registration: Per person pricing for Building Resiliency is $60 for one session, or 12 sessions for $720. Additional family members are half-price. New participants can join the group any time within the first three weeks, after which the group is closed.

Recovery is a process, not an event.
