Drug Treatment Center - Family Programming
Family Weekend Program Addiction is a disease that affects the whole family and clients are encouraged to invite loved ones to participate in family programming sessions every Saturday at The Orchard drug treatment center. In these sessions, individuals learn to understand addiction and recognize how it affects their lives and relationships. We give family members the tools to begin their own healing as they prepare for life with their loved one after treatment. Weekly sessions include an educational seminar, lunch and group sharing. Once a month, there is an extended two-day (Friday-Saturday) seminar that includes an introduction to Al-Anon. | |
Cost and Registration: The Family Weekend Program is included in the cost of the Primary Care Program. For more information, please visit Family Program schedule and topics.
Family Aftercare Program We encourage the families and friends of those dealing with addiction and in recovery to take part in Building Resiliency, a 12-week group therapy program presented by The Orchard. The program is led by our seasoned addictions and family counselors and takes place Wednesday evenings in our West Vancouver office.
Each Building Resiliency session includes a combination of psycho-education and group process. Topics covered include many that are generally relevant to families in recovery, plus themes of specific interest to the participants.
Cost and Registration: Per person pricing for Building Resiliency is $60 for one session, or 12 sessions for $720. Additional family members are half-price. New participants can join the group any time within the first three weeks, after which the group is closed.
Recovery is a process, not an event.
