Substance Abuse Treatment - Detox Program
| Detoxification is the removal of toxic substances from the body and for many of The Orchard's clients, detox is the first phase of their substance abuse treatment. Our clinical team leader, Dr. Patrick Fay, has designed a protocol specifically for clients wishing to detox from opiates such as codeine, heroin, Percodan, Oxycodone and Demerol. Detoxification protocols can also be put in place for other chemical addictions, such as cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, methamphetamine and prescription drugs. |  |

Upon intake, clients receive a thorough medical examination and are evaluated to assess their health and determine the stage and severity of their withdrawal. Their detoxification protocol is personalized and supervised, as required, by our medical team and support staff. The protocol is fully integrated into the substance abuse treatment process and clients begin participating in Primary Care drug rehab programming as soon as they are physically and psychologically stable.
