| Recovery is a process, not an event. A strong Continuing Care plan supports the recovery process and is an important key to obtaining long-term sobriety. As their substance abuse treatment at The Orchard draws to an end, clients work with their counselor and Step Coach to develop an individualized after-treatment program that is challenging, yet manageable.
The Continuing Care planning process ensures the elements of a good recovery plan are in place before the client leaves our residential drug rehab center. The plan may include ongoing group and individual therapy, Orchard Alumni Services, 12-Step meetings, and Orchard outpatient programs.
Outpatient Continuing Care programs take place at our West Vancouver Addictions Services office and include counseling and group programming.
Counseling
Counselors are available to meet with alumni at the treatment center on Bowen Island or at the West Vancouver Addictions Services office. In addition to issues stemming from drug and alcohol addiction, our counselors specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, relationships, teen issues and relapse prevention. Couples and family counseling are also available.
Group Programming
Outpatient groups, including the Continuing Care Outpatient Program.
