"SPIRITUALITY through CONNECTION"
A Weekend Retreat with Derek Lacroix and Maureen Jack-Lacroix


This interactive workshop provides teaching and practices to help participants connect to themselves, others, nature and their higher power. Through a mixture of didactic and experiential learning we will explore a variety of spiritual philosophies, prayer and meditation practices, and ways of experiencing Spirit through connection.

We will discuss spiritual concepts such as

  • Beauty as Truth; Truth as Beauty;
  • Panentheism, Creation Spirituality, Eco-Spirituality
  • Developing an intimate relationship with Spirit
  • 12 steps as a spiritual practice


Who Should Attend: The retreat is available to anyone interested in spirituality, addiction and recovery

Derek LaCroix QC is the Executive Director of the Lawyers Assistance Program of B.C. Derek practiced law in B.C. from 1975 to 1993 and was also called to the bar in Oregon in 1995. Since 1987 Derek has made personal development, spiritual growth, and working with others his avocation and he obtained a Diploma in Counseling in 1996 and a PhD in Therapeutic Counseling in 2003. He began work with the Lawyers Assistance Program of B.C. in 1997. He has published articles on the health problems facing lawyers, helping others, and depression. He has spoken at conferences on the role of volunteers, reaching out to others, stress, and addictions. He also leads workshops on many topics concerned with Healthy Living.  

Maureen Jack-LaCroix is a successful impresario and businesswoman. She is currently CEO of Earth Revival Productions. As a special event and television producer, she has developed and managed many properties over the years, including the Bryan Adams/David Foster Canadian music industry fundraiser for Africa "Tears Are Not Enough", the Music West international music festival and conference and Slam City Jam, the North American skateboard championships, televised on NBC. Maureen is an experienced speaker and facilitator. She has, for many years, made personal and spiritual development a priority. She is now combining her personal and spiritual development interest with her skills as a producer through Earth Revival to put on events and seminars to promote eco-spirituality, creation spirituality and the care of the environment.
